The Tagaste Guild sponsored its annual St. Patrick's Dinner Dance on March 6 with some 110 people in attendance. Considering how bad the winter of 09-10 has been, the "luck of the Irish" prevailed as guests for the dinner arrived with near spring-like weather. Dinner was the traditional corn beef, cabbage, red potatoes, and carrots; Peggy Evans, Guild President, continued her grand tradition of baking all the Irish soda bread for the occasion. Beer and soft drinks were offered, and there was coffee and cake for dessert. There were door prizes and a raffle which featured a beautiful hand-made table cloth. The Captain and Camille provided their usual stimulating variety of contemporary and "golden oldies" music, encouraging everyone to get out on the dance floor. Profits for the evening amounted to $2000. Many thanks, once again, to our Guild!
