The worst snow storm of an already severe winter hit the Rockland County area on February 25, burying the Monastery grounds under some two feet of snow. Like many of its neighbors, Tagaste experienced a partial power failure and damage caused by falling tree branches. The friars were not able to get out for Mass on Friday morning but were out and about the following day. While the storm caused everyone major inconvenience the snow-covered trees and mountains offered scenes of spectacular beauty.
