The Tagaste community got into the spirit of Christmas by hosting the St. Boniface Singers for the traditional "Lessons and Carols" service on December 14 in the Tagaste chapel. The choir, which is from St. Boniface Parish in Wesley Hills, actually consist of three choirs—an adult choir, a childrens' choir and a bell choir, all under the direction of Mrs. Ellen McNamara. Fr. Hugh Grace, pastor of St. Boniface, was one of the singers; Dr. Carl Constantino played the organ.

The service combined nine Scripture readings from the Old and New Testament with a variety of Christmas carols, which together tell the story of the coming of Jesus, the Messiah. Fr. John Gruben presided at the service and various community members and associates of Tagaste served as readers.

Although the service was lightly attended (there were many competing events on the same evening) it was very well received and appreciated. After the program light refreshments were served by the Guild in the hall while the children's choir gave a preview of a performance they would be doing in the near future.
