The Guild and the Hispanic community sponsored the annual picnic on the grounds of Tagaste on July 14. The weather was perfect... making up for a rain out last year! Some 300 people were present for the event and enjoyed an afternoon of family oriented activities. Food included paella, rice and beans, hamburgers and hot dogs, watermelon, and refreshments.
A 50/50 was held and there were gift certificates as well as a money prize for those who held the winning tickets. There was face painting and games for the children. Music was provided by a DJ, and soccer games continued throughout the afternoon.
