ST. PATRICK'S DINNER DANCE
On March 5, 2005 the Pius X Guild of Tagaste Monastery held their Annual St. Patrick's Dinner Dance. It is one of the many ways the Tagaste Guild helps men cultivate their vocation. This dinner dance in fact as been an annual fund raising event for more than twenty years.
Again this year it took place at the VFW Hall in Suffern. The corned beef and cabbage dinner was followed by dancing with music by "Mitch". This dinner dance gives the friends and benefactors of Tagaste a chance to gather and renew friendships as well as raise funds for the Monastery. 150 guests enjoyed this year's dance. Flo Opulencia won the raffle's first prize of $250.00, Fr. Michael Rafferty's parents the second prize of $100.00 and Sislyn Dyke won the third prize of $75.00. Aracely Cienfuegos won the 50/50 prize of $200.00.
Everybody from the youngest to the oldest had a chance to dance and have fun. See you next year!
ST. PIUS X GUILD OF TAGASTE MONASTERY
The St. Pius X Guild of Tagaste Monastery was founded on the Feast of St. Augustine August 28, 1959. The Guild is a group of friends and benefactors of Tagaste Monastery. The main purpose of the Guild is the fostering of vocations to the religious life through the prayers and good works of its members.
The second purpose is to raise funds in order to help meet both the financial needs of Tagaste Monastery and to help with the education of seminarians through fund raising events. These fund raisers include the St. Patrick's Dinner Dance, flea markets, the annual golf outing and other functions.
You are always welcome to join us and work on worthwhile projects with us. We meet once a month. Please get in touch with the guild President, Mrs. Toni Martucci at (845) 357-7384.
