Sunday, March 13th, the Cursillistas of Sacred Heart Parish, in cooperation with Tagaste Monastery, hosted their first annual Lenten retreat. This event took place in the Monastery's Guild Hall from 9am to 4pm. The faith of those attending was cultivated and seeds for new growth were planted.
Forty people participated in this one day retreat offered in Spanish. One of the main characteristics of this event was the enthusiastic participation of all present.
The participants were presented with such topics as: The passion of our Lord Jesus Christ and its importance in our everyday lives, followed by "walking along with Jesus during Lent", forgiveness and finishing with the importance of the Eucharist for our salvation.
