Before Br. Ramiro left us, he built a shrine in the woods to our Blessed Mother, the Virgin Mary and at the end of the summer volunteers planted flowers in front of the monastery.
Br. Paul Rodriguez has been busy around the house. After the flea market he did a major clean-up. He also has repaired all the lawn machinery in the garage. New storm windows have been placed in the front of the building and the stone wall along the edge of the monastery property has been repaired by the hard work of Tino Ruiz and Dioni Dominguez just in time for the coming winter. The Guild paid for a new sound system in the Guild Hall.
Late the night before Thanksgiving when all were relaxing, Fra. Juan José discovered a radiator leaking on the third floor. The room was flooded! But Br. Joe Joly came to the rescue. And, (in spite of it being a holiday weekend) within 48 hrs. the radiator was fixed and the heat was back on. Also, floor tiling was finished in the utility rooms off the Guild Hall just in time for the SAR Profession and Guild Communion Brunch.
Thanks to the hard work and talents of many and the generosity of our benefactors together we are "Building the City of God"!
